It is almost midnight - December 31, 2022. Four friends enter an empty church. Sacred walls surround. There is no plan, there has been no practice. They have never played together before. Some have hardly ever played at all.
Without a word, the organ lays a solemn foundation. The soulful resonance of the cello weaves a stirring melody. The haunting voice casts an enchanting ambient spell on all who listen. The cosmic embrace of the analog synths transport you to another world. A fleeting moment of harmonic splendor, united in the space under hallowed arches. Goodbye to the year. |
Created for a dance performance at the Regional Conservatory of Annecy, Vers l'Oblivion is an innovative musical remix that brings together the timeless compositions of Maurice Ravel's Boléro and Camille Saint-Saëns's The Swan. Inspired by the intricate workings of brain synapses and the enchanting nature of memory, this remix explores the interplay between the two pieces, creating a unique and thought-provoking musical experience.

In the solemn atmosphere of an Easter processional, the air is filled with a sense of anticipation and reverence. As the congregation gathers, a haunting and triumphant pipe organ improvisation unfolds, enveloping the sacred space in a cascade of sonic emotions. The improvisation is centered around the hymn "O filii o filiae," serving as a musical journey that resonates with the depths of human spirituality and the joyous celebration of resurrection.
